About Evolution Gaming
Evolution Gaming is the undisputed world leader in live casino gaming. Founded in Sweden in 2006, the company has grown from a small live dealer operation into a global entertainment powerhouse that dominates the live casino market with an estimated 70%+ market share. Their games are broadcast in HD from purpose-built studios across Latvia, Malta, Georgia, Canada, and several other countries.
In 2020, Evolution acquired NetEnt, followed by Big Time Gaming and other studios, creating a gaming group that spans live casino, slots, and innovative game formats. The Evolution brand itself remains focused on live dealer and game show content, where it continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in online gaming.
Evolution holds licences from the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission, and their games are available at virtually every major online casino serving Irish players. Their live tables operate around the clock, staffed by professionally trained dealers and game presenters.
Top 5 Evolution Games in Ireland
1. Lightning Roulette
Evolution's groundbreaking combination of live roulette and RNG gameplay. After bets are placed, lightning strikes randomly select up to five numbers on the wheel, applying multipliers of 50x, 100x, 200x, 300x, 400x, or 500x. A straight-up bet on a lightning number can pay up to 500:1 instead of the standard 35:1. This game single-handedly created the "Lightning" category. RTP: 97.30%.
2. Crazy Time
The ultimate live game show experience. A massive money wheel with four bonus games — Cash Hunt, Pachinko, Coin Flip, and Crazy Time — delivers incredible entertainment and win potential. The Crazy Time bonus round features a giant wheel-within-a-wheel with multipliers that can reach astronomical levels. Multiple players can win simultaneously. RTP: 95.50%.
3. Monopoly Live
A live game show built around the beloved Monopoly board game. A money wheel determines payouts and triggers the augmented reality 3D Monopoly bonus round where Mr. Monopoly walks around a virtual game board collecting prizes and multipliers. The combination of familiar branding and innovative technology makes this an Irish favourite. RTP: 96.23%.
4. XXXtreme Lightning Roulette
The supercharged version of Lightning Roulette with even bigger multiplier potential. This variant features Chain Lightning and Double Strikes that can stack multipliers up to a staggering 2,000x on a single number. Higher variance than the original but with much greater upside for players chasing big wins. RTP: 97.30%.
5. Mega Ball
A live lottery-style game that combines bingo mechanics with multiplied payouts. Players purchase cards with random numbers, and 20 balls are drawn from a pool of 51. A final Mega Ball multiplier of up to 100x is applied to any winning lines on that last number. Up to 100 cards can be purchased per round, creating multiple chances to win. RTP: 95.40%.
Unique Features & Mechanics
Evolution has repeatedly reinvented the live casino format with innovations that have become industry standards:
- Lightning Series: The addition of RNG-generated multipliers to classic table games. Starting with Lightning Roulette, this concept has expanded to Lightning Blackjack, Lightning Baccarat, Lightning Dice, and more, creating an entirely new genre of enhanced live games.
- Game Shows: Evolution pioneered the live game show category with Dream Catcher (a simple money wheel) and then expanded it with Monopoly Live, Crazy Time, Deal or No Deal Live, and Funky Time. These games blend live presenters with augmented reality and RNG elements.
- First Person Games: RNG-powered versions of their live games that let you play solo at your own pace without a live dealer. A seamless "Go Live" button transitions you directly to the real live table version. Available for roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and several game shows.
- Immersive Roulette: Multiple camera angles including a slow-motion close-up of the ball landing, bringing a cinematic feel to standard roulette.
- Dedicated Tables: Evolution provides casinos with the option to have their own branded, dedicated live tables staffed exclusively for their players, creating a premium VIP experience.

Standard straight-up payouts are reduced from 35:1 to 29:1 to accommodate the multiplier feature.
